Former Juneau County
Humane Society Workers
On Tuesday, the Juneau County District Attorney's office filed 48 animal neglect charges against each of three former executive board members. All former board members are scheduled for an initial appearance in Juneau County court on April 17.
An investigation surfaced into the shelter after the Clark County Humane Society, near Eau Claire, received a call last November asking to take animals out of the Juneau County Humane Society.

He's accused of failing to provide food and shelter for dogs and horses on the property.......
11/18/05 Appleton Post Crescent - Family Faces Animal Neglect Charges
Police and animal control officers found several dogs and cats in ill health, poorly fed and living in their own feces when they raided the property in October.
There were several animal cages containing dogs that were stacked up in the house, and newspapers in the home were soaked with urine and feces.
Investigators said “the floor of the residence was covered with dirt, urine and fecal matter.”
Several animals appeared to be malnourished and there didn’t appear to be enough food available to feed the animals.......

What started with charges being filed on March 21st 2006
ended with all charges being dismissed against June Kline and Lynn Rittenhouse-Leatherberry.
June Kline = circuit court case # 2006cf000051 came to an end on April 9th 2007. Reason givin for dismissing the case was STATE'S POSITION HAS CHANGED..

June 7th 2007. Reasons givin for dismissing the case was NO PARTICULAR ANIMAL IDENTIFIED, also stated NO NOTICE ON WHICH ANIMAL WAS MISTREATED.

Michelle Ott was also charged. Circuit Court case # 2006cf000052. She plead guilty on July 26th 2006 to counts 4-5-6. Counts 1-3 and 7-48 were dismissed.
