I Rescued A Human Today.

Her eye's met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennel. I felt her need instantly and knew I had to help her. I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she would be afraid.

As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the back of my cage. I did'nt want her to know that I hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the shelter keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them.

As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in someone's life.

She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her. Gentle fingertips caressed my neck ; she was desperate for companionship.

A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well. Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms. I would promise to keep her safe. I would promise to always be by her side. I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes.

I was fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many more are out there who haven't walked the corridors. So many more to save. At least I could save one.

I Rescued a Human Today.

With a shelter or rescued pet
it is not always about who you picked,
Their greatest gift is when
they pick you.

Master Bru = adopted from Wis.Dells Animal Hospital

Pets come with a great deal of
of responsibility just as children do.
Be sure you are up to
the tasks at hand. Good food,
fresh water and the most important
Vet Care, accidents and emergencys
happen and don't forget about LOVE.
Pets rely on us for everything and
ask for so little in return. The
reward to you will be
unconditional Love. There is nothing
more priceless in the world.

ASHA

One only has to open up their hearts
to receive the unconditional love
that a newly adopted pet has to offer.
There is no truer friend
in life then a pet.

Molly Mae=adopted from Wis. Dells Animal Hospital

When adopting a pet you are
making a life long commitment.
Just as with children there is
a great amount of responsibility that
can not be taken lightly. Be sure to
do some research to find the right pet
for you and your family.
The animal you want may not be right for
your family or Situation. Always ask
questions and never rush your
decision for the life of the animal
you adopt depends on it.

Rockie

Spend every day with your pet
as if it were their last,
because the hands of time never
stand still. And when that time
comes to say goodbye remember
Grief is the price we pay for LOVE.
