Let's get ready for the 2009-10 season. Changes are coming in the dues structure and awards. Check bowl.com for more information.
USBC Youth membership dues structure FAQs

Q. I’m a USBC Youth bowler bowling in a new standard league in August. How much are my yearly dues?
A. You will pay $17. The breakdown of the dues is $14.50 will go to USBC national, $2 to the processing agent (center or association), and $.50 to the state association.

Q. If I decide to join another USBC Youth standard league in a different bowling center, do I have to pay an additional fee?
A. There is an optional $2 processing fee that can be charged for participating in an additional league in a different center. USBC is only collecting national and state dues. The $2 processing fee stays with the processing organization, be it the association or center. If the additional league is in a center in a different state, the bowler would be required to pay the $.50 state dues for that additional state and may be responsible to pay any additional $2 processing fees charged.

Q. I am an association manager and just received our first USBC Youth league information; I open winLABS to process the membership, right?
A. NO. WinLABS is not the program to use to process USBC Youth memberships for the 2009-10 season. A new Web-based processing system through bowl.com is in development to process all USBC Youth memberships. It will have a similar look of winLABS and will be available Aug. 1.

Q. Our association is processing four of the five centers that are in our association. What happens with the center that chooses to process?
A. Each USBC Youth member who registers through that center is still a member of your association. On the new Web-based system you will still see the information for those members even though they were processed through the bowling center. The center will only see information for the members they process.

Q. How will this new Youth membership work for traveling leagues?
A. There are three scenarios that can occur with USBC Youth traveling leagues. These scenarios will be processed as follows.

  • If the bowler has already purchased his/her USBC Youth membership through another league in the traveling league's home center, no additional processing fees would be due.
  • If the bowler has already purchased his/her USBC Youth membership through another league in a different bowling center, the optional $2 processing fee may be due if required by the membership processor of the traveling league's home center.
  • If the bowler has not yet purchased his/her USBC Youth membership, the $17 USBC Youth Standard membership dues must be paid through the traveling league.
