Who are the Lions? Lions are men and women dedicated to serving those in need, whether in their own community or around the world. In addition to humanitarian service, they enjoy fellowship and develop leadership skills. The Lions operate the Wisconsin Lions Foundation which is located in Rosholt on the Wisconsin Lions Camp property. The foundation carries out all the statewide projects for the Lions, highlighted by the camp for blind, deaf, and cognitively disabled children and now, serving diabetic children. The Oconomowoc Lions Club also donates to the following local projects: Angel's Grace Hospice, Badger Boys & Girls, Blood Bank, Chamber of Commerce, City Beaches, Defibulators for the Town & City of Oconomowoc Police Departments, Diabetes Screening, Fire Department, Food Pantry, Middle School, Post Prom, Roosevelt Field Dugouts & Fences, Senior Center, Senior High Weight Room, YMCA, and Youth Eye Exams. Our club also sponsors the city’s Halloween Parade, the Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, and more. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
