RECAP ON 2007 NATIONAL MAKE A BLANKET DAY !

Holiday Inn on Saturday, February 17, 2007. (8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m) A whopping 40 "blanketeers" donated their valuable time to Fond du Lac County Chapter's 1st Annual Make A Blanket Day which was held at the Fond du Lac
Goal: It was the goal for the Chapter to collect at least 300 blankets between November 2nd and February 17th. What an impressive accomplishment has been made by such a young chapter.

Not only did we reach our goal, we sewed right past that. Our tally stopped at 2:00 with a grand total of 312 blankets.

Our "blanketeers" were so generous that the very few blankets that were left to finish were taking home by various volunteers to be finished on their own time, so we can expect that total to rise over the next few months.

You should ALL be very very proud of yourselves, we have provided blankets to ALOT of children desperately in need of a hug.
Please accept my thank you from ALL of the children and families that will benefit from this wonderful gift. These blankets will give a gift to children that they are not able to buy... loving care that you have made these blankets with your two hands especially for them.... a hug when they are needing it the most.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I am moved to tears tonight just thinking about what a wonderful group of women I had the honor of working with !!

And just think... this was only our very 1st Blanket Day !

Thank you again,
Angie
