YOU CAN HELP ! WHEN AND HOW DO I GET STARTED !? There are many, many ways in which a volunteer can get involved. 1. Simply make a blanket and donate it to your local Project Linus Chapter. Your blanket or quilt will be given to a child in need. Volunteers of Project Linus, known as "blanketeers", provide new, handmade, washable blankets to be given as gifts to seriously ill and traumatized children, ages 0-18. It is Project Linus' policy to accept blankets of all sizes, depending on the needs of the local chapters. All styles of blankets are welcome, including quilts, tied comforters, fleece blankets, crocheted or knitted afghans, and receiving blankets in child-friendly colors. We will be providing patterns on this site, however, this area is currently under construction so please check back in December for patterns. 2. Assist the Chapter Cooridator in organization of the National Make a Blanket Day. Call to schedule an appointment with Penny to discuss further at 920-923-4273. 3. You can donate any supplies that would be needed in making blankets, quilts and afghans. ALL of the supplies will be used and would be greatly appreciated. Contact Penny for a list of items our Chapter is requesting for National Make a Blanket Day. 4. Monetary Donation to the Fond du Lac Chapter. You can find details on how to make financial donations on our home page under "financial contributions". WISH LIST:
