Welcome! The College Democrats of America (CDA) is the official student outreach arm of the Democratic Party. CDA aims to spread a pro-student, pro-Democrat message on campuses, recruit volunteers for Democratic campaigns, and shape the Party with voices from America's youth.

The Democratic Party believes that each and every American ought to have equality of opportunity in securing the American Dream. Democrats have a long and strong record of promoting opportunity for everyone by supporting public schools, strengthening federal education aid so everyone can go to college.

The College Democrats of UW-Rock County are associated with the College Democrats of Wisconsin (CDW),which is the college outreach arm of the Wisconsin Democratic Party, and the official Wisconsin arm of College Democrats of America. We work to create an awareness of progressive causes, build student civic participation, and elect Democratic officials to local, state, and national offices.
 
Mideast is another Bush debacle

Editor, the Gazette:

"Mr. President, things are getting worse. There is a present danger to our people, and we should evacuate them as soon as possible." Sounds familiar like Hurricane Katrina right? Well not this time, it's the evacuation of 25,000 Americans "refugees" in Lebanon.

I must say that I'm very concerned at our administration's lack of commitment when it comes to getting American lives to safety. But that has become expected and the "norm" of this administration. I mean if we can't even get people out of a city in our country (New Orleans), how are we to dare dream of getting people out of a hostile war zone eight time zones away?

I think this is just another debacle by George W. Bush and his cronies. I think that when the White House messes up, it's almost become expected. There is almost nothing left for this President to do to mess up. I sincerely hope that people will vote for a change in the midterm elections and bring responsibility back to government.
