Badger Queens Open

Tournament Format:
  • DAY ONE: Would remain the same as in the past. There will be two, four game blocks. Total pin count will determine the ranking and the top 25% of the field will move on to Sunday with an even number of bowlers. The top two qualifiers will receive a bowling ball (donated by Bill Monce, from Ebonite International) and the high game for the day will receive the Nancy Chapman award (donated by the Green Bay Area USBC WBA as a memorial), as in the past.
  • DAY TWO: This is where the excitement begins! Bowlers will participate in five (5) random match play games moving after each game. The bowler with the highest score each match will receive 30 bonus pins; tie games will receive 15 pins each. After the fifth game has concluded, bowler scores, including bonus pins, will be calculated and ranked from highest to lowest. A sixth match play game will follow with bowler 1 vs. bowler 2, bowler 3 vs. bowler 4, and so on, in a one game position round. Once again, the scores, including bonus pins from all six games, will be calculated and the top five scores will determine who will proceed to the step-ladder finals.

The tournament was moved from October to January to kick off the Championship Tournament.
