UNIONS?!?!?!

UNIONS....hmmm, is it the way to go? Are you truly educated when it comes to understanding what Unions are, how they operate? Or have you only based you opinion on hearsay and a lifetime of other people's uneducated opinions? Maybe you want to organize but you do not know who to contact...or even how to get started?
We are not going to lie to you, taking the lead to organize an Union in your workplace can be a VERY rocky road...but once success is attained, it can also be the most empowering and rewarding experience there is! Maybe you are a afraid that if you organize you will lose your job...if so, think of it this way, if you don't organize around an abusive employer, do you have ANY job security???
One thing to always keep in mind about Unions is ..... the Union is only as strong as the active individual members. Organizing and becoming a member of any Union should never be taken lightly - your participation and loyalty to your fellow members will be what makes your Union strong and ran by the members rather than a weak, complacent organization ran by a select few. Union member or not...ALWAYS OWN YOUR VOICE AND VOTE!
