chloe_praying.jpgWelcome to the Central Church of Christ

We hope you feel right at home here. Central Church of Christ is a non-denominational church where we worship in truth and spirit
(John 4:24).
The church family here is a community of people with a variety of individual experiences and talents. We come together because God has forgiven our sins and is changing us into something new.
As the Body of Christ, we experience Jesus' love and grace. He fills us with His healing Spirit and calls us to take up our cross and follow Him.
Central is a safe place where you also can experience love, acceptance, and forgiveness from sin. If you are searching for a church home, we'd like you to know that there's a special place here just for you!

Ministries:

Missions/Gleaner Program Thank you for your generous donations.

Potter Children's Home Gleaner Cans Thank you all for your participation.

Pleasant Acres Donations…
Assigned to Central’s Care – Mary Jackson

Monetary donations can be given to Nina Tucker.

Particular needs for the Home at this time are:
1. Kleenex tissues
2. Toothbrushes (soft)
3. Toothpaste
4. Baby wash

If you are interested in being part of this ministry, please see Julianne Paynter or Nina Tucker. Those who are not acquainted with Pleasant Acres, please know that Keith Bramel or Tom Paynter would be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Food for the Mission… Please continue bringing in non-perishable food items for the Clarksburg Mission.

Collecting Pop Tabs for Ronald McDonald House…. The Ronald McDonald House benefits seriously ill children by helping provide a place for their families to stay while they are out of town for medical treatment. Recycling pop tabs generates proceeds to donate to the Ronald McDonald House.
Anyone who wishes to collect and bring in tabs may deposit them in the box provided in the foyer. Robin and Amanda will be taking them to the Ronald McDonald House in Morgantown periodically.

West Virginians for Life… There is a petition on the podium in the foyer, concerning the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. This is to acknowledge that by 8 weeks of pregnancy, an unborn child responds to touch and at 20 weeks, responds to pain. Your signature shows your support of the WV State Legislators passing this act that will ultimately protect our unborn children from abortion 20 weeks and after. This would protect the lives of many and would put an end to pain felt by these tiny victims.

Thank You Notes and Greetings:
Thank you!
We want to thank you for letting us use your wonderful church building for our Breastfeeding Holiday Event! We are so thankful! All the girls from the North Central WV Breastfeeding Coalition

Thank you!
I want to thank everyone for their kindness and consideration since Carolyn passed away - the food at the funeral and the cards from various people. It really has meant a lot to me! I would like to have thanked each of you personally, but it’s still a very emotional subject and I doubt I could even get a word out, without choking up. Different times I’ve intended to stop by church, but there are too many emotions and memories to deal with.
At a better time, I’ll be back.
Thanks for everything,
Mike Warner

 News and Announcements!
Sharing Good News!

We praise God and give thanks that Isabelle “Izzy” Simmons, granddaughter of Ken and Sherry Charles, is now cancer free!

Brayden O’Malley is home and doing well. He continues to recover and we give thanks! Brayden is the great-nephew of Kim and Mike Lucas. The family thanks everyone here for their prayers for Brayden.

Need a Coat? Have a Coat?
We still have a few coats for winter for anyone who needs one. If you have a coat that you no longer need or want, feel free to bring it in for donation. If you or someone you know needs a coat, please feel free to help them out with selecting one from this room.

Playroom Is Being Enjoyed!
There is a playroom set up downstairs for the children to use between services during the winter months. This room will also be used during the “Young Mothers” group meetings, for those who bring their children with them.
The children have really been enjoying this room!
Please feel free to bring in a new or good-condition used toy to donate for the playroom.

Life Choice Pregnancy Resource Center’s Baby Bottle Campaign
Life Choice is a non-profit Christian ministry offering practical help and emotional support to women, men and families experiencing the challenge of an unplanned pregnancy. They exist to make sure women know there is an alternative to abortion and loving Christians who will help and support them throughout their pregnancy. If you would like to support this ministry, please adopt a baby bottle for the next few weeks! Baby bottles are on the table in the foyer to be filled with change, cash or a check. Just bring them back when they are full. If you have questions, please see Jodi Fleshman or contact the number of the person listed on the paper inside each bottle.
Thank you, Jodi, for allowing us to participate in this important outreach program!

Young Mothers Group… A get-together will be held on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month for young mothers. All mothers of children from newborn through grade school are welcome to come and enjoy the fellowship and parenting discussions. The scheduled time will be 6:30 p.m. here at the church building. All members and friends are welcome!
