The Blood of DeVain... The Devain are a race of vampiric kindred with some unusal backround. The blood of a true DeVain contains that of a vampire and an elemental demon known as only the "unknown". The Legend behind the Devain is that the origional vampire, Caine choose a mate and their union produced undead children. Theses children hid in the clans and sects which evolved, the ablity to breed seeming unavailable to most, children would be born without life, living or undead. This was the case until one of the daughters of Caine made a deal with satan himself, she was given the soul of an elemental demon, an Unknown. From this demon she would aquire the powers of fire, water, wind and earth, and also the life, a living heart beat. The devils payment, more powerful servents, more vampiric first powered generations to take more souls and compile them into his masses. So the exchange was made, demon blood mixed in with kindred to allow a birth to take place where none should. She would give birth to 4 children,adopting one of her younger siblings as her son, all with her brother Lucien as her mate. One following the Lasombra, one the Toreador clan hailed and yet the Lasombra ever decieving, gained a soul, and held that a secret, a secret remaining hidden until...

Now

The New Way of Life....
Time and Time again we have been hunter, our race been destroryed for things that we ourselves cannot control. Both Kindred and other demons alike have been percecuted over and over again, the numbers they have lost only are a dent in the number they kill. Creatures of the darkness are elvolving, the light being less of a threat, but the constant fear of the holy items as holy water is both worrisome and annoying. The mixing of demon and kindred blood is a a way to change this. To change the sun lights effect, to change the death of our born children, to concure our fears and be whole. To be true gods in the world of men.

The DeVain Clan is the first, but they will not be the last to venture into unknow territoty, to push the envolope, and to become more than what was ever thought possible.
