2008 Show: Chain Reactions
In 2008 the Hurricane HS Band will be presenting John Meehan and David Parson's Chain Reactions: Fission, Propagation, Mutual Excitation, Fusion . This is another original, intense show by two of the top marching arts music/drill writers in the country. 2008 looks to be an exciting year for the band, as we work to advance the marching activity in our area once again!
Incoming freshman and 1st year band members we welcome you to the HHS Band! You are officially part of our band family! Exciting things are ahead and we look forward to your dedication and hard work for the 2008-09 season.
WHERE IN THE US IS DANIEL!
Our color guard capitain, Daniel Brown is touring with the BlueCoats, a drum and bugle corp located in Canton, OH. The BlueCoats are a member of DCI and have consistantly placed in the "elite" top 12 and Daniel is a proud member of the BlueCoats and HHS. Payments can be dropped off in the black box in the band room at the high school or mailed to P.O. Box 602, Hurricane, WV 25526. The payment schedule for all band members is:
1st year Band members make sure you have filled out and mailed in the ICES scholarship form. If you do not have a form, contact Mr. L immediately or click on the link below.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
- ALL Students must sign the enclosed form and return to ICES immediately.
- ALL Students must pay a $200 non-refundable deposit by May 30, 2008 to the Hurricane High School Band Boosters.
- All Students must attend weekly Competition Band Practice at HHS on an evening to be decided beginning mid-April.
- All Students must attend summer day band camp at HHS in July 14-18, July 21-25, July 28-August 1, and a one week away band camp from August 3-9, 2008.
Discount tickets to DCI at Laidley Field on July 28th are still available. The discount price is $16.00. Price at the gate will be $18.00. If you plan to attend and wish to get the discount tickets please pay Paul Miller no later than Tuesday, July 15th.
