In mid-2004, the LVEP took over operation of Open Door Literacy Council in Charles Town. Its founder and director, Ana Bretsch, had become too ill to continue to run the program. Her wish, however, was that the name “Open Door” be retained. So that is exactly what the LVEP is doing. The program is governed by our Board of Directors. The LVEP handles all monies, grants, and expenses.
The office and tutoring space is located in the Community Ministries building at 238 West Washington Street, Charles Town. Phone number there is 728-3851.
Current office hours are by appointment only on Tuesdays - call 264-0298 to schedule.
