ACCEPTING THE WHOLE TEACHINGS OF GOD

Article written by Nick Deiger

Why is it that many people want to pick out just part of the word of God that suits their thinking and not accept the whole teachings of God? Consider what 2 Timothy 3:16 says: "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." No one uses this same reasoning when followings the laws of the United States. You might think it is all right to pay income taxes on just one half of what you make in a year. But when you send in your tax report with a W-2 attached, and the two figures do not match, what do you think will happen? You know as well as I do the the government will win out. Why then do we think we can play games with God's Holy Word? When the Bible gives a command, we are to follow it as given. It is not ours to reason as to what we think God meant. Notice Jesus' statement in John 14:15: "If you love Me, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS." (emph -- NED)

My friends, let us read the Bile as it is written and accept it as God speaking directly to us as we read. It will be too late at the judgment to find out you were wrong.
