A unique Artist Co-Operative

Main Gallery

The Renaissance Gallery opened its doors at the Huntington High Renaissance Center in Huntington, West Virginia, in September 2001. We are a member-owned co-op of artists in the tri-state area. Located in a former high school building now listed on the National Historic Register, the Renaissance Gallery was at first an outgrowth of the Tri-State Arts Association, an organization boasting a half-century of service to artists in various fine arts media in Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky, centered at the Huntington Museum of Art. Soon, however, The Renaissance Gallery opted to jury interested artists regardless of membership in the Tri-State Arts Association, though many of its members are members of TSAA. The Renaissance Gallery offers regularly changing exhibits of members' work. It frequently features exhibitions of guest artists as well, regularly hosting public receptions, introducing new artists to a larger art-loving public. In what is now an annual tradition, the Renaissance Gallery hosts a National Annual Miniature Exhibition during the month of November. Our Mission is to promote art and art education in the community and among its members. To encourage and promote a public interest and understanding of art; to create and develop a closer relationship between art and the community and further the education and artistic development of its members.
