Welcome to the Renaissance Art Gallery

The Renaissance Gallery opened its doors at the Huntington High Renaissance Center in Huntington, West Virginia, in September 2001. We are a member-owned co-op of artists in the tri-state area.

Located in a former high school building now listed on the National Historic Register, the Renaissance Gallery is handicapped-accessible, being on the ground floor. Come in and enjoy the only artist-run gallery in the area.

The Renaissance Gallery offers regularly changing exhibits of members' work. It frequently features exhibitions of guest artists as well, regularly hosting public receptions, introducing new artists to a larger art-loving public.

In what is now an annual tradition, the Renaissance Gallery hosts an Annual National Miniature Exhibition during the month of November.

Our Mission is to promote art and art education in the community and among its members. To encourage and promote a public interest and understanding of art; to create and develop a closer relationship between art and the community and further the education and artistic development of our members.

Dear Fellow Artist:

The Renaissance Gallery is a non-profit artist’s Co-op located in the historic Huntington High School building, Huntington, WV. It is the area’s only independent gallery, and we are very proud of it.

The gallery is a member-owned, member-run gallery. The Renaissance Gallery in Huntington WV opened in 2001 and has consistently won the hearts of everyone who visits. The showroom adjacent to the main gallery features a new theme-based show each month.

For artists ready for gallery representation, what could be better way than with a co-op gallery? Think how this will enhance your artistic resume! You will also be able to participate in month long shows and artistic challenges, thus building up your artistic “muscles.”

We would like to invite area artists to join us in our co-op showcase. A jury of active members considers new candidates for membership each month. All artists are invited to bring five artistic works, paintings, sculptures, ceramic works or such, display ready, to the gallery before the third Sunday of each month so it can be juried. This process takes about three weeks.

If you have any questions, come into the gallery any time. We are open Friday, Saturday, 12-4 pm and Sunday, 1-4. Call us at (304) 525-3235. Our President, Fern Christian (304) 453-3187, would love to hear from you.

Very sincerely,

the Artists of The Renaissance Gallery
