image001.pngWelcome to TARA!   The Tri-State Amateur Radio Association (TARA) exists for the following purposes:
  • To enhance the pleasure that amateur radio license holders get from their ham radio hobby;
  • To aid people who are interested in becoming hams in their efforts to obtain FCC licenses;
  • To serve the public, especially during emergencies, by providing efficient and reliable local, regional and worldwide communications;
  • To provide a forum for discussion of issues pertaining to amateur radio; and
  • To engender goodwill among the general public toward ham radio by publicizing the good works of radio amateurs.
