OUR 2013 SHOW

In Greek Mythology, Theia was a Titan Goddess who
ruled during the Greek Golden Age. She was the mother
of Helios (Sun), Selene (Moon) and Eos (Dawn), and thus
was regarded as the deity from which all light proceeded.
All that she gazed upon became luminous. She gave gold
and silver their shine, and precious gems their sparkle.

Vertigo is Huntington's Premier Independent A Class Winter Guard!
Vertigo Winter Guard is an independent winter guard located in Huntington, West Virginia. Vertigo is a member of Winter Guard International, and a member of the TriState Circuit. Most of our members attend Marshall University, Mountwest Community College, and Spring Valley High School. Most also participate in fall guard with the Marshall University Marching Thunder and Spring Valley High School Marching Band, however, Vertigo membership is open to anyone 14-22 years of age with dance, flag, saber or rifle experience. All levels of ability are welcome to audition.

Vertigo Winter Guard is located in an area where there are no scholastic winter guard programs. Vertigo is currently the only independent winter guard program in the state of West Virginia, so for many of our participants, Vertigo is their first ever winter guard experience. We are very proud of their accomplishments! Vertigo is very pleased to be able to bring this opportunity to the youth of our area. As awareness increases, we hope to see the winter guard activity grow in our state in future seasons.

Vertigo is under the direction of Maurica Richardson, Marshall University Marching Thunder Color Guard Instructor/Choreographer and Spring Valley High School Color Guard Instructor/Choreographer, and Marcus Daniels, former Marshall University Marching Thunder Auxiliary Coordinator 1997-2004.
