Welcome to Wheeling MOPS

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) International exists to encourage, equip and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.

MOPS exists for every mom - urban, suburban, and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, singles and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be ther very best mom they can be.

Our meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month, from September through May, at The Vineyard Church of Wheeling, 647 Wardens Run Road, Wheeling, West Virginia. The meetings are from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon. Childcare is provided (RSVP is strongly suggested).

The registration fee for this MOPS year is $45. This fee includes the $25 MOPS-to-Mom Connection fee as well as a $20 Wheeling chapter fee. There will be no per-meeting fee this year!

This year's theme is Together on Planet Mom.

If you would like more information please contact The Vineyard Church of Wheeling at (304) 242-0463 or Sarah Carpenter at sarah_carp@yahoo.com.

    2009-2010 MOPS Information:

The MOPS International theme for 2009-10 is "Together on Planet Mom".

The MOPS Experience equips women for the joys and challenges of their lives as moms. One key factor in the MOPS Experience is the relationships built within a group. Time and time again, MOPS moms share that the friends they make in MOPS are significant for this season of their life and on into their future. God created us for relationship! It’s one of the defining parts of being human.
However, when you become a mom, all your relationships change. It’s like you have landed on a different planet—Planet Mom—and the relationships on Planet Mom don’t look like the ones on your previous planet. Your relationship with yourself is different—you are a mom! Your relationship with your husband, girlfriends, extended family, community and God have all changed. Many of these changes are positive, some are not. Even positive change requires adjustments on your part.
During the 2009-10 MOPS year, we will explore how to thrive in relationships Together on Planet Mom.

    Changes in Membership Fees:
The cost to become a MOPS member for the 2008-2009 year will be $45. This fee includes the $25 MOPS-to-Mom Connection fee as well as a $20 Wheeling chapter fee. Registratin fees are due by October 24, 2008. Please note: If you completed the spring registration and paid the registration fee, your amount due totals only $20! There will be no per-meeting fee this year!

With your membership fee, you receive MOPS International and Wheeling MOPS membership, multiple resources throughout the year, a theme related book (Life on Planet Mom) and countless opportunities to be a better mom!
