WELCOME
To the White Hall Church of Christ website!

We are a family of obedient believers in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of the faithful. We are bound together by the grace of God and united under the authority of the inspired teachings of the Bible. Together, we seek to honor Jesus with the praise of our hearts, our words, and our actions, and to act as His voice, His hands and His feet in serving others and one another. We seek to accomplish these tasks in our homes, in the church, in our neighborhoods, in our city, and around the world as God gives us opportunity.

To fulfill this vision, we are organized according to Scripture with elders as spiritual shepherds for the congregation, and deacons as ministers for various specific needs of the congregation.

Our doors are always open.

Our hearts are open, too.

If you've been thinking, praying, searching, and hoping for a place to belong,

we say WELCOME!!!

We have an interpreter for the deaf at every service.

NOTE FROM ANN SHREVES
My Dad is doing some better. He started therapy on his shoulder yesterday (Wednesday) and therapy starts on his neck this coming Monday. He has had more x-rays of his lungs done this week that have revealed a consolidation on his lung. This could be pneumonia or it could be damage left from the fall, further x-rays are going to be done next Thursday. My parents and brother-in-law plan to bring my two nieces to our house on Tuesday for an all-day visit. Thank you for your families prayers and the prayers from the church family!

UPDATE ON JANIE LAWFRY AND WILBUR TOOTHMAN
This is the Janie that was taking care of Wilbur Toothman that has been on our prayer list. She is also the sister of the Sistersville Church of Christ preacher where my Mom and brother-in-law attend.
from Kristi Toothman McCort - Aunt Janie is home! She got a better report from her heart cath in Cleveland, and she is to rest for two weeks. Essentially, the issue that was causing the problems seems to have been taken care of probably because of medication (and God). So, hopefully she is on her way to feeling much better now. Thanks for your prayers, everyone!
from Ann Shreves

NOTE FROM A VISITOR
Hello Kevin, I visited your church on Nov. 01 and just wanted to thank you for making my wife, three children and me feel so welcome. I don't think that I have ever been to a church that big before and felt so at home. I just had to let you know. Keep up the good work and God Bless you and yours.

THE GIVING TREE
"There is a "Giving Tree" on the wall in the foyer next to the library. On the tree are apples with items on them that are needed to make Thanksgiving baskets for needy families and our shut ins. When you choose an apple, remove the red one and write your name on the yellow apple underneath so that we can keep track of who is bringing in items. If you choose perishable items, such as bananas or turkey, please bring those in the day of the get together so that they will be fresh. If you are bringing in canned items, please place them in the box beside the tree. We will be having a get together on Saturday, November 21st at 6:00 PM in the fellowship hall to make these baskets. Please bring finger food and join in the fun and fellowhip and help out with this activity. All items need to be in by Wednesday, November 18th, except for the perishable items. If you have any questions, please see Dale Lee, Matt Tonkery or Dianne Tonkery."

Matthew 22:36-40 (NIV)

36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'[b] 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[c] 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
