Casper's Ambassadors of Song

The Children's Chorale was founded in 1979 with the goal of providing a positive and challenging music experience for singers in the fourth through eighth grades. Over 200 singers audition for the 80 voice chorus, which rehearses weekly September through May, preparing songs in diverse styles and languages. The Chorale has appeared by invitation at state, regional, and national MENC and ACDA Conventions, and has earned consistent gold awards at Heritage Festivals in the United States and Canada.

CCC wins Gold Award at 2010 Orlando Heritage Festival.
Casper Children’s Chorale received a Gold Award for scoring over 90 and the Adjudicators trophy for groups scoring over 95 as well as earning the most points in the festival with scores of 98, 96 and 95.

To explain the scores; children’s' choirs and middle school choirs have to score an 85 or above to get a Gold Award, and high school choirs have to score a 90 to get a Gold. Casper Children's Chorale scored a 98, a 96, and a 95. This not only gained us a Gold Award, but an Adjudicator's Award (95 average or higher) and the Outstanding Choral Award for highest score at the festival.

Festival judges were impressed with the overall capability of a choir made up of 4th – 8th grade students. CCC not only sang in four different styles: Baroque, Spanish dance, a song half in Swahili and a Bernstein Latin mass but also awed the judges with the energy in which they performed their synchronized movements for added flair to their performance.
