TODAY
: CHURCH TOUR was a real step‐up for the singers. We were missing 11 children at the first performance, and 14 at the second performance. However, the Children’ Chorale sang beautifully on some new, challenging music, and really won many hearts today!Thank you for the extra effort made this weekend, especially by our singers and drivers. Big thanks also for the rice krispie treats and drinks—SSENTIAL for a good performance! Singers who could not attend today will have to do some fast scrambling to catch up. Everyone, please make sure your child will have enough rehearsals to perform in Orlando.
TRIP PAYMENT: Your last payment is due March 16th. However, the CHORALE payment is due March 1st, and it is over $50,000. So, if you have the money, we would certainly appreciate early payment to help us out! THANK YOU. Attached is the rooming, flight, and bus list for Orlando.
EXTRA POLOS: If you are NOT going on the trip, please lend me your polo shirt so that I can carry some extras for emergencies. You WILL get it back!

Tuesday, April 6th 4 - 6 p.m.
: Carry‐in Dinner, Parent Information for Trip, Special Performance for Parents. This takes the place of the “rip Meeting” and is crucial for all singers participating in the Orlando trip. We need at least one parent from each family!You will have an opportunity to visit with your child’ trip chaperone that evening. If singers are NOT going on the spring trip, plan on rehearsing from 4‐5. Dinner, information, and performance will be from 5‐6 p.m. I will make food assignments as the date gets closer.
FIRST WEEK IN MAY:
Thank you for your feedback on May 6th. Due to band concerts, etc., I have turned down the Thursday performance. School Tour on Monday, 5/6, will include SIX schools this year. We begin at 7:30 a.m. at Frontier/CCA and end at 3:30 p.m. at Park. 2010‐11 vocal screenings for returning singers will be May 11th and 12th. Screenings (auditions) for new singers will begin May 18th. If you know of interested singers (or children who SHOULD be interested!), be sure that they get to attend our Mother’s Day Concert. I THINK we will be able to re‐establish Bel Canto next year for singers 2nd through 5th grade (YAY!!). Chorale will remain for 4th through 8th.Please don’t volunteer to drive for School Tour yet. If you do, just expect me to forget
