VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  1. FUNDRAISER
Because our order was so small this spring, the company is not shipping until “someone picks it
up” i.e. another trucker “headed our way”. Yes, we have learned a lesson. Yes, Tracie Calkin,
chair person, is doing her best and has made them aware of our time constraints. No, we don’t
know when it will be here. We are sorry and hope your customers are understanding! (Also
hope that it doesn’t come April 4‐8th!! Or we could just all camp‐out together that week…….)
  2. COLORADO CHILDREN’S CHORALE assignments
Huge thanks to the following families who are hosting singers from Colorado: Pickrell, DeVore,
Miner, Szymczak, Cox, Spearman, J. Johnson, Mosier, Wilhelm, O’Connor, Schubert, and Patton.
More later on hosting assignments and responsibilities. THANK YOU.
For the WEDNESDAY, April 6th, clinic and singer dinner (5:00‐6:30 at NCHS), members of our
Board of Directors are all supplying lasagna, with Melinda Pickrell supplying LOTS of salad!
Would other parents please bring the following that afternoon (please let me know if you cannot
supply these items so that I get it covered—thanks!)
Ten Capri Sun, Water, or other individually packaged drink: Burgen, Cardenas, Golen, Hampton,
Heyer, Hodgson, Hubert, Jackson, Jennings, S. Johnson, Kitterman, Kopp, Mabey, Marquard, Olson
One dozen Brownies or other large bar cookie: Rich, Roan, Sanchez, Scharpe, Schreckengost,
Shickich, Silva, Spaulding, Speth, Street, Szewczyk, Chambers, Drake.
Sixty plastic plates (2): Paschal, Whitley
Sixty plastic forks and small package napkins (2): Armstrong, Blakemore
Thursday evening (4/7) we are singing part of the concert with the Colorado Children’s
Chorale. We will sing our own pieces, then combine on two from the Wednesday clinic.
    T 4/5 Rehearsal, W 4/6 Clinic 56:
30 NCHS, Th, 4/7 Concert call time 6:30, 4/8 School Tour
  3. SPRING TRIP
PARENT MEETING: PLEASE attend at 5:30 on Tuesday, April 12th, right after rehearsal. We need
to be done by 6:15 since there is another meeting at the church, so we will talk fast! We will give
out chaperone assignments, itineraries, packing lists, EVERYTHING that night. We need at least
one parent for each singer! We have had a chaperone drop—if you want to go contact me!
In a nutshell, tour includes day performances at these schools: Rawlins, Rock Springs Jr. High,
Lyman, and Evanston North Elementary. We have evening performances in Rock Springs and
Park City. We have a choral adjudication/choral clinic at the University of Utah. We are visiting
the Olympic Training Center in Park City, the Zoo in Salt Lake City, your choice of other SLC
venues, and the taping of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. WOW! This will be a GREAT trip! Huge
thanks go to Susan Martin and Tonya Burton for all of their hard work and planning.
  4. SCHOOL TOUR, FRIDAY, April 8th
All children need to be excused from school that day, with their MAKE‐UP work done ahead of
time! We are not a school activity, so this is up to each family. I tried to find the very best day to
miss—squeezed in between PAWS testing, class trips, etc., but make‐up work must be done.
We still need 3 drivers—please! Thank you to the following: (if I missed you please let me
know) Dietz, Sczymak, Miner, Osborne, Martin, Schubert, Pickrell, Mosier, Mabey, Chadderdon,
Spaulding, Rich, and Tobin). As soon as I get additional drivers I will make assignments.
Parents, please have your children at the new St. Anthony’s School (behind Lady of Fatima and
Safeway on CY Ave) at 8 a.m. (good breakfast first) and pick them up at 2:45 from the new CY (on
Outer Drive, east from Wal‐Mart). Also, please send your child with either a sack lunch or money
to buy lunch at a fast food stop. Drivers will determine those stops. Dress is chorale
performance attire. Check handbook for rice krispies and drink assignments. We will have those
snacks at Sagewood directly following that performance. The performance times are as follows:
    9:00 St. Anthony’s
    10:00 Sagewood
    11:00 Woods
    12:45 Poison Spider
    2:00 CY
  5. THIS WEEK

Gillette Chamber Singers, directed by Patrick Patton.
Monday, May 2nd, 7 p.m., at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
